The commercial for Maybelline New York, managed by the international production company Sinners and Saints, presented a massive production challenge that seemed almost insurmountable. The expectations were incredibly high, demanding flawless execution for a global campaign. The main challenge was twofold: on one hand, we had to recreate the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of New York in locations in downtown Mexico City.
On the other, the logistics were immense and unprecedented: from sourcing and customizing a monster truck painted in the client's exact color to the meticulous coordination of top-tier talents like Tini and Mimi. All of this under the constant supervision of a demanding agency. My team, composed of my friends Esteban and Gerber, and I, had to take charge of this mission.
Our team at Tantor Films approached this project with a methodical coordination. I took charge of the logistics, ensuring every piece moved flawlessly. We worked on recruiting the crew and handled every technical and talent detail, demonstrating how rigorous planning can turn a formidable challenge into a fluid execution.
The result was a successful production that exceeded the client's expectations. The locations were transformed, the monster truck was on point, and the fluidity of the shoot with the talents was flawless. The project is a testament to our ability to manage complexity and deliver world-class productions under extreme pressure.
