The production of two episodes for Road to a Million, Season 2 was a logistical challenge on a massive scale. The main challenge was to carry out high-risk filming in iconic locations in Mexico, which required unprecedented coordination. We had to orchestrate a vehicle chase in the Otomí Ceremonial Center, a sacred site, and film key scenes in the heart of the Day of the Dead parade in Mexico City. All of this, with the added complexity of securing permits and coordinating logistics with the presence of the Mexican Army.
This project was led by Dinga Haines, who orchestrated the production on behalf of Tantor Films. With rigorous planning and meticulous coordination, we ensured that every detail was under control, from crew logistics to special permits with the Mexican Army. The Club de Periodistas became our strategic basecamp, the operations center that allowed us to work efficiently on all scenes filmed in downtown CDMX and during the parade, proving that preparation is key to success.
The result is a pair of episodes that capture the beauty and dynamism of Mexico under extraordinary circumstances. The logistics, which were the biggest challenge, were executed flawlessly, allowing for powerful shots with the Raptor trucks and scenes in the midst of the vibrant Day of the Dead parade. This project is a testament to our ability to manage complexity, work with various authorities, and deliver a world-class production in high-pressure environments.
